Picnic in the Park

Grace Church GuildforD

Join us for a church family picnic in Stoke Park

On Sunday 10th July following the morning service everyone is invited to a picnic lunch in the local park. Where to go! Please bring along your own chair or picnic blanket to sit on, and your own packed lunch – any why not bring extra to share!

You can either leave your car where it was parked for the morning service and walk to Stoke Park (about 10mins from Chertsey Street), or there are two car parks near to the spot chosen for the picnic. There is the Home Farm Gate car park off Nightingale Road, or the  Guildford College car park off Stoke Road. Both are free, however there is less parking available at Home Farm.

Due to it being outdoors it will also be weather dependent. If cancelled we will notify everyone during the morning service on Sunday 10th, if not before.

Join us for a church gathering in Stoke Park

After the joy of gathering together in May we’re pleased to once again be able to invite the whole of Grace Church Guildford, and any guests who may wish to join our service, back to Stoke Park for another Sunday service.

On Sunday 11th July at 11am we’ll gather at the Northside Gate area of Stoke Park.  Please bring along your own chair or picnic blanket to sit on. If you’d like to stay at the park longer for a picnic lunch we’d love for you to do so, but please move to the side of the park over the road first to help us with clearing away equipment. We kindly request that dogs are not brought along to the service.

There is ample and free parking available in nearby car parks, please contact the church for more parking details should you need them. Stewards will be in the car park providing directions on where to go when you arrive, they’ll be very visible in their hi-vis vests. Hand sanitizing stations will be available when entering and leaving the seating area, and toilets will be available for use.

Please arrive by 10:45am to have plenty of time to make yourself comfortable. The service will begin at 11am, which will include live singing that all can join in with, and a talk from the Bible.

As this is an outdoor service there is no requirement to wear a mask, however, should you wish to please feel free to wear a mask. Due to it being outdoors it will also be weather dependent. If cancelled we will notify you via the email address you register with.

If you have not booked to attend the event please still come along on the day, however, we will ask that you complete a form with some details due to government guidance that we must keep a record of who has attended.
